Also known under the alias Marc Cassandra, he started his music career in 1980 as a singer under the stage name of Gilbert. Then in 1985-87 he worked as a musician with Sandra, Engelbert, Stan Bush and Sally Oldfield. But he is mostly known for his collaboration with Thomas Anders, Paris Red, Kristine W, Kool And The Gang, Mr. President, Alcazar, Ferry Corsten, Enigma, Construction, Matrix, Nsync, Love Inc (he won the Juno Award for best producer), Eros Ramazzotti, and other artists. He founded with Reinhard Besser his own production company, FMM Production. More recently, he worked for No Angels, Bro'Sis, Xavier Naidoo and some DSDS candidates (such as Mike Leon Grosch).
