在静心冥想和心理治疗音乐领域上，德国音乐家 Deuter 是一位举世闻名的先锋者与领航员。在他将近30年的音乐生涯里，他浸淫不同文化的传统音乐，同时发展出被全世界认同的独特新世纪冥想音乐风格。他的作品完美地把他所专精的放松、冥想意境诠释在平静和谐的音符中。因此，Deuter 的音乐成了心理治疗师和身体工作者（SPA，Massage）的最爱，在医药及心理治疗师的临床实验更是备受欢迎。聆听 Deuter 的音乐，可以让心灵享受平静、和谐的力量，充满喜悦。
Deuter，全名 Chaitanya Deuter，出生在德国的一个名叫Falkenhagen的小镇上，曾学习过长笛，后来自学了吉他，但一直没有发展自己的音乐事业。然而，1970年的一次几乎致命的车祸让他鼓起信心去追求自己的梦想。他的首张专辑于1971年由Kuckuck公司发行。这么多年来，Deuter 对于精神领域探索带他走遍了全世界，最多到访的是印度，他曾居住在阿什拉姆乡间的供静养之地研究印度音乐，并录制了多张专集。在80年代中期，他移居美国，最终定居在新墨西哥州的首府——圣菲。
作为全球新世纪音乐的主要音乐人之一，似乎 Deuter 就是为新世纪音乐而生。他的音乐往往体现的不止是音乐本身，通常还有其他的内涵。如同许多擅长现代乐器的艺术家一样，Deuter 将合声电子乐器、宗教音素和自然音素结合起来。音乐风格以舒缓的旋律和欢愉的节奏为特点，并且他将东西方不同的风格一起融合进音乐中，同样使之大受欢迎。
