I have followed Michael's musical journey since I first heard THE POET, many years ago. His music always touches the soul, and this album is no exception. It is beautifully varied with a combination of piano, cello, violin, and voices. For someone who enjoys instrumental music somewhat more than vocal, I was totally taken with the vocals on this CD. The particular voices used, including Michael's own voice, are perfectly suited to his music and are blended so well that the balance is exquisite. I read that this is the first time Michael has recorded his voice singing. The lovely melody, lyrics and his gentle voice are a great blend and it is a perfect debut. As always, Martin Tillman interprets Michael's music with soul and passion, and the music itself is the pathway for the soul of the cello to be expressed.
